Welcome to Grimsby Baptist Church
We are a Bible-believing church in the town of Grimsby.
We believe that God wants all people to hear the message of Jesus Christ,
which brings the best life now and a certain hope for eternity.
Whether you are just exploring Christianity or have been a Christian for years,
you are very welcome, please come and join us!
A prayer for the world
We pray for the world and the current situation triggered by the murder of George Floyd. We pray through those words of Micah 6 verse 8 telling what our Lord requires from us … “to do Justice, to love kindness and walk humbly with your God”
We pray for justice to reign among all communities; as we are all created in God’s own image and for His Glory. Before Him, we are all equal and pray that He will stop all who promote any form of discrimination on the grounds of colour, ethnicity, gender, or social standing wherever that may be; in communities, workplaces, and in the justice system. God’s Word tells us in Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”.
We give thanks to God, that He has a predestined plan of salvation, because of the work of Christ Jesus, on the cross, and that He gave an eternal promise for all who believe. Help us Lord to grasp that promise, that in the new heaven and earth, as pictured for us in Revelation 7:9 that there will be, “……..a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb”
We pray that this Gospel message will be heard in all countries, cities and communities, throughout the world. Lord God we pray that you will bring your peace and reconciliation to all, for we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen
Following further government advice we have regretfully had to make the decision to suspend all mid week activities and services at GBC. We are now planning other ways of being family together and confirm there are plans to provide an act of worship on Sunday via electronic media, more details of which will be posted as soon as possible. Further planning is in place to facilitate other ways of communication so please check the website and Facebook platforms regularly. For those without computer access we are also working on plans to keep in touch. We are committed to upholding our congregation and our world in prayer at this time. Anyone needing help or support should contact any of the deacons or e mail via this website.
